Can argue about it all day long, but is it too much of a stretch to call Kobe a top 5 all time player ?

Kobe has to be up there IMO. If not top 5, top 10 for sure. No debate about that.

I don't know about top 5 but, barring injury, he will be the NBA's all-time scoring leader.

He's currently 33 years old and trails Kareem by 8900 points. If he were to average 25 ppg and if he plays 80 games per year he would score 2000 points per year. That leaves him just a little over 4 more years to pass Kareem. He can play well past 37 years of age.

Even if he were to only average 20 ppg he would only need a little more than 5 years.

Stacy Kiebler. I have a monster crush on her. She's gorgeous. Hot body, angelic pretty face. Hot as hell. Lucky bastard George Clooney banging her.

In the day of the information super-highway, you can scour the internet for expert opinions.

That being said, I have never seen *one* expert opinion, be it sports-writer, player, ex-player, coach, ex-coach... who has produced
a list of greatest NBA players of all time that includes Kobe in the top 5.

Until I see even one reputable list that has Kobe in the top 5, I'll state definitively that yes, it is a stretch.

No offense, but you show a clear lack of knowledge in NBA history.

You don't even include Oscar Robertson in your top 10, a guy who AVERAGED a triple double for an entire season, and almost averaged a triple double for 4 straight seasons.

Any list of top basketball players is Jordan, then everyone else

The difference between one and two is far greater than the difference between two and 10. Two through 10 are, in order, Johnson, Chamberlain, O'Neal, Bird, Russell, Bryant, Duncan, Abdul-Jabbar, Robertson. Or something like that. Most any order of those guys would be fairly reasonable, so definitely not a stretch for someone to move Bryant up two or three places
