How much do you need to play in the book to get some decent comps at MGM?? Or if you wire money in advance whats a number that will net food and spa at the least?

Thanks

I'm not an MGM property expert but I don't think theres a lot of comps for sports bettors (if any). Now if you are tracked(not sure if they even do this) & show like $25,000 loss they might do something-or might not even care.If you play horses, you have a shot at some comps starting at $2500/day.At least thats what it was at The Mirage 8-9 years ago

It helps to have a Host in advance, otherwise you're not going to get as much in Comps. unless of course you are playing an avg of $100 per hand and give them about 4 hours per day.

To me Vegas isn't like AC, where you can wager $25-$50 a hand ( plus avg 4 hours )and get some good comps like a Room and $150 in food.

Not that Comps are like they use to be. It's a little harder now a days.

and don't think if you Wire $25K makes them think you are a High roller ....
If you don't give them the "Right" action, they will pull back those comps.

I will also add that you should Never play for Comps.... I've said this many times, and I stand by that statement.

I'm not a big MGM fan, even though I have played at the Mirage since day one. and it's the only casino I stay at when i go to Las Vegas.
But I go because they have always taken care of me, and my wife and I Love the Pool.

At almost all casino nowaday, you get more and better comps if you are a slots and VP player than if you play table games. Sports bets would rank last.

I could set you up very nicely at the Silverton. They are located the exit before or after...depending which direction you're going....the South Point.

They have a Leroy's sports book. Restaurants are good with a great steakhouse, Twin Creeks.

Attached to the casino is a Bass Pro Shop. You can use your comps points to shop there. The casino is pretty liberal with their comps and give out cigarettes like candy.

Let me know, and I'll hook you up.

I dig the Silverton too....place is not bad and is more generous with comps than most other spots in my experience.

You won't get any comps betting in the sportsbook unless you consider a couple of drink tickets a comp. Now if you bring 6 figures or more to deposit in the cage then they might hook you up with something. All in all...even if you bet $1,000 a game you will still get much less in comps than a quarter VP player.

I've stayed at Silverton a couple of times (January the latest) & its a good place to stay.Nice rooms, good coffee shop & steak place.

The only negatives are that the place is absolutely dead after 11,& the horrible Leroys Sportsbook

Very little, to no comps for sportsbook. Lucky to get a drink ticket anymore unless
you are playing horses.

They don't care if you wire 500G's...it's all about your average bet and time spent gambling.

From most comps to least...

Not to be harsh but 50 a hand will get you nowhere at MGM. If you plan on going again...gamble where you want to stay, not MGM. Easiest comps are downtown and off-strip properties.

MGM properties wont even take your players card when you make a bet.

Unless I can find a better line at another casino, I alway wager at Caesars/Harrahs properties because you get points on your account every time you wager. Plus, you dont have to cash your ticket in at the specific casino like you do at the mgm places. You can cash in a bet made at Planet Hollywood at Caesars if you wanted to.

It won't get you anything. The most you can hope for is a buffet comp if you ask nicely when leaving the table. You most likely won't be giving them anywhere near the action to get any comps on this trip, but they may start sending you some decent stuff in the future to bring you back.

Almost 100 % correct but Keno players are at the top of the list. The Casino takes almost 30 % cut in Keno play so they want you back really bad. Sportsbook play is a minor profit maker for the Casinos as overhead per play makes it a pretty minor cash cow !
