I used to have it a few years ago and it was like $8/month. Just called to find out how much it was and the cheapest I could get was $12 after about 15 minutes of negotiating. Do they still do the 6 months for $30 deal or has the price gone up that much? I don't need the everything package just the basic subscription would do.

Get the lifetime plan. Don't even bother month to month or a year plan. It will sound like a lot but I have two units on lifetime plan and I've got my moneys worth several times over.

I don't know but I think it's around $15 a month or something. They charge me all at once. They did increase the price this year. I'm still waiting to see how that merger was good for the consumer lol. They still have not merged all the channels and looks like they never will. Bunch of scumbags they are. They all got payoffs from that merger. Mel Karmazin get $30 million and Stern got $25 million and then has the balls to sue the company for more money.

$8-10 a month seems reasonable. Anything over that is tough to justify for me

Do you know if Sirius/XM still offers the lifetime plan? I have on receiver on the lifetime deal but that was from 2006.

I'm paying something like 12 dollars a month for the radio in my car and another 3 so i can listen over the internet. I called about a year ago and told them I wanted to cancel and they offered me 6 months for 30 dollars total. I would have cancelled permanently but I added another subscription for my mother at xmas. I don't know what your listening habits are but, Howard Stern now blows, I listen to the classic rock stations and they play the same 10 bands over and over and over again. Every time I am in the car I listen to the IPOD hook up 90% of the time.

I thought I heard they discontinued offering the lifetime plan. I've got it and it's paid for itself a long time ago. But honestly I use the internet app on my Ipad and on a table top radio more than the main sub. And I may be in the minority but I don't believe the Stern show is any less funny than in the past. The Ronnie Mund ugly app show the other day was one of the funniest I've heard in a while. Still plenty of funny left in that show.

If you can find your old acct number and still have the old equipment call 1-866-382-6222 and tell them u got an email offer for $25 for 6 months..you can tell them u lost ur old equipment and they will prolly still work with u just try to sell u something new. If you get the right person on the phone they may even find ur old acct number for you, if they seem uncooperative hang up and try another clerk...

I had my antenna ripped off in a car wash, and didn't feel like paying any longer. They wound up sending me a new antenna. Then something else happened and they sent me a new radio. I still have it in the box and have never used it. I've had rental cars that have Xm already installed, and it's much better having their antenna...a permanent one. That's the only way to go.I just might buy a new car to have a permanent one installed. LOL!

I heard that Ronnie Mund show. Your right it was the funniest I've heard on there also in awhile. However if you have been listening this week ( Of course he is on vacation once again) They are replaying the Satellite years starting from 2005 and the current show doesn't even come close to years past. Once Artie left ( he did so much for the show) it started to decline and at this point Stern doesnt even try anymore.. It's all Americas got talent talk and the same recycled guests month after month.

I don't mind all the AGT talk that much. It's something that's happening in his life right now. Yes, less would be a lot better but the show is still great. And I do miss Artie as well. But someone else will eventually come along to fill that void. He was entertaining before Artie and he still is IMO. Not to mention one of the savviest businessmen I've ever known. He feels Sirius fucked him on his sub. money. So what's he doing in the meantime, he's promoting the shit out of AGT while still getting paid for both shows. Maybe if they didn't deny him that cash we wouldn't hear so much AGT talk. He's outsmarted them again. If they pay the guy what he wants they wouldn't be going throught this right now. But I still feel the show is entertaining as hell. I had a friend over last week, [a non Stern fan] and played him the Ronnie App torrent I downloaded. He laughed so hard there were tears in his eyes. It's still a great show. No matter what the naysayers say.

You'll have to call and ask if they have the lifetime plan still. I've had both my plans for over 5 years each. My original player is from when they first introduced the boom box. That tells you how old it is. I got the lifetime plan back then for $350 and the second unit was $400. No complaints here, I have three units and when I transferred the second lifetime plan to a new unit they never shut off the old one. So I have 3 I can use. :)
