I picked a powerade at the store today, Lebron was on the front of it and it said something about gold medalist. Why does he bitch so much about not having a championship ring, he's got a gold medal from the Olympics.....

Which would you prefer to actively win? A Gold Medal at the Olympics or Professional sports championship ring?

I'd take the ring.

A Gold medal. Your up against the majority of the world when you represent in the Olympics. Not to mention your winning for your country. When you win a ring the only people who care are your fans, plus the competition is far inferior (for the most part).

The ring would be nicer but i agree with this theory and Gold Medal would have more meaning...

team sport - ring

individual sport - gold medal

there are some team sports where I'd rather have the gold medal....but feels emptier when talking basketball. USA medal doesnt mean you are clutch, it just means you did your job witha way more talented team
