Miami: 2 units (first 5 innings) -1/2
1 unit ML

Houston is sending out a guy named Aneury Rodriquez, who has not been too successful in AAA. Strikes out a lot of guys, but gives up tons of walks and hits, 29 innings, 42 hits, 13 BBs. That never translates well in the majors, especially against a suddenly hot Miami team, who finally knocked around Wandy Rodriquez today for his first 2012 bad outing (no, they are not related). AnibalSanchez has a 2.48 ERA vs. Houston and is having a great year, never giving up more than 2 ER in any start so far. I might put another unit on the RL.

Detroit: one unit on the first 5 innings also -1/2. How can I not do this? Millwood is a fill-in until one of the Mariner young pitching studs is ready to be called up. Can Millwood make it that far? Yes, with a 6+ ERA and a very average, but overused fastball. Verlander is going to be pumped, losing his last outing and wanting revenge for the Ms sweep in Detroit. Besides, the Mariner hitters almost never beat a really great pitcher. I don't know the stats the last 2 years, but they're probably 3-30 against the top 10 pitchers in the MLB.
One unit Detroit RL

One unit under 9 on Yankees/ Tampa. This is a ridiculously high number, even if I lose. Neither team is killing it against good pitching, in fact neither team has seen that much good pitching lately. Nova and Shields are both capable of very good outings, and both bullpens are strong. Especially the Yankees. Also, both of these lineups have some struggling hitters, and some weakness at the bottom of the order.

Maybe more to come….

Add another unit on Detroit -1/2 first 5 innings

Chisox/ Cleveland -120, over 4 first 5 innings. These two teams have already seen Masterson and Danks twice this year already. Familiarity benefits the hitter more- pitchers can only adjust so much. Four is a good number. One unit.

One unit on Baltimre ML. Arrieta is possibly Baltimore's best pitcher. Bullpen finally rested. O's know how to win now, and want to keep the momentum going. Feliz is slipping a little lately. Throws mostly fastballs, which O's hitters like.

Washington/ Pitt- under 7 1/2. Two teams with great bullpens, and neither hit very well. I know Burnett is the possible blow-up pitcher here, but previous to his last outing, he pitched well. NL suits him better. First game of the series- I think they are often low scoring.

Add one unit. Phils -1. Miguel Batista is a walk machine, and if you've ever seen him pitch, it always looks like every inning is a jam he is trying to pitch out of. Blanton is no ace, but is pitching better this year.

add one unit Col/ SD - over 4, +120 first 5 innings. Two dreadful pitchers in Colorado. Why only 4?
