8 straight winning days after going 1-0 yesterday. Gotta stay hot. Le'go!
Pirates -130 (2 Units)
I like the Pirates here. Bud Norris is one of the few starting pitchers in the majors with an ERA over 4 against the Pirates. He's also not pitching too well as of late with a 4.91 ERA in his last three starts. James McDonald on the other hand is hot right now. 2-0, 2.14 ERA in his last three. His stuff has been electric and his command is getting better every time he takes the mound. Some of the Pirates' bats are starting to come out of their frigid starts, and McCutchen is just killing it right now.
Rays/Orioles under 9 (2 Units)
Both of these two lineups are completely capable of scoring runs, but I think this pitching matchup points toward an under total. Helickson is turning into a really solid three in the Rays rotation. He's been consistently giving up 1-3 runs between 6-7 innings and giving his team a great chance to win games. In his young career, he's 4-1, 2.23 ERA against the O's. He's also pretty hot now, having not given up more than 3 ER in any of his last 4 starts. He's going up against Dana Eveland on his first big league start this season. Normally I would just take the Rays to win here, but Eveland has had a decent stint in AAA recovery. Not only that, but during his time in Toronto, Eveland went 2-1, 2.84 ERA against the Rays. In my opinion, the lineup was more impressive then as well.
Might post more later. Good luck, all.
