also known as "the Green Man " don't ask me why.....

But if I remember right, the guy said he was the Boston Strangler but it was never proven.

The man convicted of the crimes committed by the Boston Strangler is/was named Albert DeSalvo. I do know a number of years ago (in the 80's), he was housed at Walpole prison , about 20 miles outside Boston (I believe the prison is now known as "Cedar Junction" or something like that). At that time there was an observer program where several citizens spent the day observing at the prison. I knew someone who was an observer and they told me that DeSalvo was there and that they had a conversation or two with him.

Larry Bird, Former Boston Celtic Great – “Do I remember Andrew Toney? The Boston Strangler? Yeah. I remember him. I wish we had him. He was a killer. We called him the Boston Strangler because every time he got a hold of the ball we knew he was going to score. He was the absolute best I’ve ever seen at shooting the ball at crucial times. We had nobody who could come close to stopping him. Nobody.”

Tony Curtis.

Judge, my guess is that the reference Tony Curtis is lost on most reading this thread. Perhaps you'll appreciate this, but the person I mentioned that was an observer at Walpole prison was my father. He's 80 years old now and I spoke to him yesterday and asked if my recollection that he had conversations with DeSalvo was correct. He said he had several and that DeSalvo wouldn't shut up. He also said the year those conversations took place was 1973.
