Atlanta and Cincinnati play a two game set Monday and Tuesday starting tonight at 7:10PM at Turner Field. Atlanta surprisingly swept World Series Champions St Louis over the weekend while Cincinnati won a finale vs Washington in dramatic fashion as Votto Cincinnati's 225 Million Dollar Man connected with a walkoff grandslam. Votto's performance was his second career 3 HR game and first career 6 RBI game. Votto has hit 15 doubles on the year with a .377 average 4 HR's and 20 RBI's in Cincinnati victories but only .250 average 1 HR and 4 RBI's in Cincinnati losses. Votto is .389 5 RBI's in his last five at Atlanta but Cincinnati has lost 4 of 5 of those matchups. Overall Cincinnati is hitting .236 as a team and is 13th in the NL in On Base Percentage. Delgado is 2-3 4.54 ERA for Atlanta and will have the task of facing Votto tonight. Delgado is 0-2 3.50 ERA in his last two outings due to insufficient run support where Braves only scored two runs in two games. Delgado still throws extremely hard but with struggle with walks. Atlanta bats are now back with Braves offense scoring 6.2 runs per game and a team average of .286. Bailey is 1-3 4.93 ERA for the Reds and coming off the worse outing of the year where he gave up 6 runs in 4 innings. Votto is the Man Of the Hour for Cincinnati and Delgado will have to make him a priority out if Braves hope to notch a home win. Extremely wet weekend here in the SouthEast but clearing up this afternoon. Hopefully conditions will be favorable by game time. Source: Sporting News MLB Preview.
