Here's something I'm using to help with my handicapping and I've finally got it online to look at.

http://edbemiss.com/index.php?option=com_mlbrpi

It's a chart, that I'll update daily, that shows a teams percentage of innings they've scored a run in based on the total innings played. The higher number the better. Meaning they are scoring runs in multiple innings in games.

You'll see the teams are listed in alphabetical order, I'm working on a sort button for each heading.

The headings are:

-Overall-Season pct (higher is better)
-Multi run- The pct of innings, when they've scored, that they've put up multiple runs (higher is better)
-Last 5- innings they've scored runs vs the total number of innings played in the last 5 games
-Last 10- innings they've scored runs vs the total number of innings played in the last 10 games

Here's a sorted list by overall. Texas is #1.

Hottest bats, meaning scoring runs in a higher pct of innings played, the last 5 and 10 games are the Boston Red Sox. Plus they are tied with St. Louis for scoring multiple runs in an inning when they score based on the whole season. (54% of the time they score in an inning, they score more than 1 run)

Worst in the league are the Cubs, Padres, and Pirates all around 33%).

I now have their bullpen ranked #11 (up from dead last not long ago) if their starting pitching continues to come around, this team has the ability to go on a serious run. 7-3 last 10. A good start by Beckett today (win or lose) may give a better indication on where he's at right now.

(Sorted by highest pct last 5 games)
