San Antonio at Tulsa
8pm eastern (May 19, 2012)
over 148.5 (Olympic)

I had success playing against Tulsa last year in the first quarters as they ended the year with just 3 wins and seemed to fall behind early. They did bring in Gary Kloppenburg to coach the team. Center Liz Cambage will stay in Australia to get ready for the Olympics (Lauren Jackson of Seattle and Ericka de Souza of Atlanta will miss the first part of the year too). Without Cambage, it will make the Shock a smaller and faster club. Tiffany Jackson will also miss the year due to pregnancy.

In their two exhibiton games, Tulsa lost 91-89 at Atlanta and then beat Seattle by 86-60 as the Storm played without Sue Bird and other veterans. Scoring 89 and 86 in two preseason games is pretty good.

Tulsa gets scoring from Ivory Latta and draft pick Riquna Williams as well as Tameka Johnson. They did cut Zolman and Amber Holt.

San Antonio is led by PG Becky Hammon as she averaged 16 points and 6 assists last year. She is a great free throw shooter too. SA also has Danielle Adams (6'1" and 239 pounds!) as well as Shenia Johnson, Tangels Smith, Robinson, Jia Perkins, Sophia Young and Jayne Appel.

These two played 4 times last year:

93-73 (166)
93-62 (155)
72-64 (136)
90-90 (180) before OT

The games at Tulsa were the 155 and 180 point games. I usually look for unders early in the year (especially in past years when it took some time for players to arrive from Europe) but think we can get 150+ with these two teams. GL!
