Yes, this looks like it's the square game of the weekend, but Verlander against this Pirate lineup almost seems unfair. Especially in the first 5 innings vs. Charlie Morton. With inter league play underway, this game seems like your AL-NL mismatch of the day. The ML is way too rich, and the Tiger bullpen is dicey (the Pirates BP is way better). With out a couple of hitters in the middle of the Pirate lineup, it's almost AAA in how bad they can be. Their pitching has kept them afloat. Charlie Morton is probably their least effective starter. 2 units Detroit (1st 5 innings)
One unit on NY Mets. ML. Toronto has been losing the first game of almost every series. It's like they don't wake up until game 2, then they win. Watch out tomorrow! Most of the Blue Jays have never hit off of Niese, who is having a solid year. Romero is the blue Jay ace, but lately has lost command of his good stuff. A few of the Met hitters are hot. Neither team has a reliable BP. Like the + money on this game.
