westbrook had 37. Durant is a great player but he will never be the next mj. That title is kobes and lets take it easy on lebron. He is the best player in the league. Durant doesnt play with the kind of pressure kobe and lebron play with. Kobe has to live up to jordan standards while lebron has all the pressure in the world since the decision. If bosh didnt get hurt the heat would have swept the pacers imo. Another thing about durant is he dissapears for long stretches while i have never seen that with kobe.
What a ridiculous argument. Yes, Labrick is the best "one on one" player in the league. Wonderful. What's that going to get him? Also, Laboob should have less pressure playing with Wade and Bosch. Remember how easy it was going to be? Sorry, can't use injuries as an excuse either. Laclank is just a pussy and not very hungry. That's all there is to it. Just watch him standing outside the three point line with the game on the line. What the hell are watching sonny?
You've got a lot of passion PP and I appreciate that. I remember that well and think you forgot what really happened.
Before the Finals that year, LBJ actually did begin to have some MJ like moments. I am from Chi-town and still am here, I am "authorized" to judge who really is MJ like
He totally dominated the conference finals and even took over the games.
When they faced the Spurs however, they faced not only dominant players but a dominant coach, and LBJ was bounced in 4 and never had a chance in even one of those games.
LBJ today has two major issues going against him that are serious problems. One is immaturity. His choice to go to Miami was immature. When I heard he went to Miami I said, "WOW! He's going to play for Riley, smart move." Except then someone told me Riley wasn't coaching. And the fact that LBJ is so immature and naive as to believe that his coach didn't matter showed that his basketball acumen is not as high as many think from a strategic standpoint.
The guy knows and understands hoops as well or better than all but maybe 3 other players currently out there. But he lacks one thing, which is proper coaching. Straight from high school to Mike Brown. Well, you can once again see how mediocre Brown is. I would argue, right or wrong, the Lakers could be up 3-1 right now, except the coaching is so bad that Gasol and Bynum are part time Lakers.
LBJ needs a good coach and time is running out. The guy has serious mental problems when it comes to closing games, and he either can or can't do it. A good coach will figure this out and if need be, tell someone else aka Wade, to finish games. But in this sense, LBJ made his own bed because he dictated what team he played for and could easily have specified what coach he wanted too. But he and Wade are such idiots, so immature that they think THEY are the coaches, and they don't need a team or a coach. And they are wrong on both counts imo.
Durant, simply put, is magnificent, a winner, a closer, a pure shooter, and an excellent team player (within the confines of great semi-selfish players, that is)
Durant is everything LeBron ISNT......
Including MVP.
Enfuego don't get caught up in one sentence or the meaning too much. My point wasn't that he's the smartest basketball player, he isn't.
TACTICALLY, when it comes to how to pass, shoot, dribble, make plays, i would argue he is top 3 in the league in ability to perform any play
STRATEGICALLY, I think he has no clue and does not understand how to lead or win. He is a great follower and #2 player.
The irony to me is that he is the greatest talent that is a #2 ever to play hoops, but seems to have no ability to move up to being a #1 player on a team
If you can't close you can't lead, and this guy more than any I have ever seen is not a leader. You would think with Wade on the team it shouldn't matter, but somehow Wade decided he could semi-retire now that he declared it LBJ's team
