Pam Ward, a trailblazing announcer who began calling national TV football in 2000, will no longer call ESPN college football.

In a move first tweeted by si.com's Richard Deitsch, ESPN spokesman Mike Humes says Ward will remain as an announcer on ESPN events including the WNBA, softball and college basketball. Ward last year called mid-afternoon Saturday games on ESPNU.

They should drop all woman! Woman have no business covering football at any level! Taking a perfectly good job from a capable white male who actually knows something about the game and grew up loving the game!

I didn't think she was too bad. I liked her paired with Spielman because she got out of the way and let him be great.
