Philly needs to get their shit together! If Howard & Utley aren't going to make it back they may need to make a trade for a bat or two....although they don't have much to,trade anymore! Looks the Nats and Braves time may come a year or two early w all these injuries Philly is dealing with...

another thing they have in common is NONE will be in last place when the season is over....it's still very early, and the teams that spend money will do what they need to fill the holes created by early season injuries

Angels, Yankees and Philly are 10-0 in their combined last 10 games. None of these 3 teams will be in last place come Sept.

Meanwhile...Atlanta Braves (Chops team) is freefalling....who knew?

Every team in Baseball will lose 60 or more games almost every year so you said it best " It's only May " ! That's why I like to cherry pick some futures on good teams that get off to bad starts. Angels are 22/1 WS while they were anywhere from 6/1 to 8/1 before the season started. The Phillies are presently 12/1 and yet only 4 games back. I bought Orioles at 66/1 AL pennant just a few weeks ago. I kinda doubt they stay atop but I'm hoping they hang around. 162 game schedule is what makes early season bad starts not really the kiss of death for good teams.

That's why you and Red Eye do well in futures...
