If not for Zambrano blowing up in the 5th, would have been a better than 4-4 day.

Mets. -1. One unit. Jeremy Hefner is a great story. No time to get into it now, but the kid throws strikes, and keeps the ball out of the middle of the zone. Great control. Came up and has pitched like an MLB pitcher right away. Stults, of SD, likewise. Except he's a lefty and the Mets have been hitting lefties pretty well this year. SD got to Lynn Wednesday in the 1st and then were blanked the rest of the way.

Mets -1/2 first 5 innings, one unit.

Mariners. ML.One unit. Vargas is always a tough lefty at home. Especially in the first 1/2 of the year. Angels are not exactly hitting up to their potential, in fact, almost no one is- except Trumbo. Haren looks like he is off his game as of late, and Mariners are coming off 2 out of 3 from Texas and a sweep of Rockies- they're brimming with confidence and finally being patient at the plate. Clutch hitting.
