Telephone Forwarding (ICE)

I've done call forwarding on my cell phone, and it works great.

On: (replace 22225555 with actual phone number)

*21*22225555
I get response "Succeeded" and my telephone shows a call forwarding icon.

Off:
#21#
I get response "Succeeded" and call forwarding icon is gone.

Question:

This does *NOT* work on my ICE land line phone. Do I need to to add "call forwarding" service to my bill, is there a different procedure to set it up, or does it simply not work for land lines?

I do the exact thing on my land line and it works. You have to request it from ICE though.

Thanks. Second question you may know:

Can you forward to an international number? And if so, what is the format?

e.g.
*21*0013145551212

I've tried that and found the site quite useless.

a) None of my phone numbers are listed on my account.

b) There is the option to restrict international/900 calls, but not unrestrict it.

c) I'd like to remove voice mail from my cell phones, but it claims the feature is required for incoming caller id (?!)

d) I'd like to cancel ADSL on my land line, but see no such option.

e) I'd like to add call forwarding to my land line, but get "number does not exist on RED" error.
