Should P. Diddy's son return $54,000 college scholarship?

Justin Combs worked hard in high school to improve his football game and earn a 3.75 GPA . He recently received a $54,000 merit-based scholarship to UCLA, where he'll play football.

In April, Forbes named Justin Combs' dad, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, the wealthiest artist in hip-hop. Some say the family should return Justin's scholarship, arguing that Combs should pay for his son's education and taxpayer money should go to students with greater financial need. Other say Justin Combs earned the scholarship through his grades and athletic ability, and deserves to keep it.

What do you think? Should the Combs family keep, return or donate the money? Should students with wealthy parents have access to merit-based scholarships and financial aid?

I agree, if it's merit based I see no problem keeping it. Would be a nice gesture on Dad's behalf to maybe sponsor a scholarship for another kid though. Not needed, but it would look good.

he should keep it, he did earn it....then his dad should just donate $1million to the schools scholarship fund as a good gesture seeing his son (most likely) will become a future grad of a great university, (you can bet your ass that school is gonna be asking for donations for this and that for the rest of their lives) not to mention 1million to diddy is like $10bucks to me....it would be a win/win for everyone involved

Give it to some kid who isnt as fortunate and have Daddy Warbucks cough up some cash ... Make it the Pdiddy scholarship fund whatever ... I dont think he should keep it ... MY opinion

UCLA isnt dumb...they know by giving him the scholoraship even if he doesnt deserve it will be repayed 10x over. Diddy and fam just wanted the title just so he can brag to friends..im sure the actual money will still go to a kid who needs it. Several new unis and luxury travel coming soon to UCLA football program lol

He earned it and should keep it. P Diddy could donate a scholarship for another student, would look good if he did this. He should be proud of his son for his high gpa and football skills. A lot of rich kids would sit on their asses and keep living off dad's money.

Keep it. I can't believe some people are wanting him to give it back. What are we going to show all kids whose parents have money?? To be lazy and not work hard bc mommy and daddy have money?!? Thats bullshit.. To much political correctness is killing this country. I hate it!!!!!!

I'm not really sure if that's taxpayers money. My guess is that it's from donation from the alumni fund or some other similar donations. He earned the scholarship...he should keep it.
