St. Kilda at Gold Coast
pick: Gold Coast +45.5

The Gold Coast Suns are the only winless team at 0-10. They lost earlier in the year at St. Kilda by 92 points so I expect to see St. Kilda be happy to win by 25-40 points and move on to face 8-2 Adelaide next week.

These two played last year at Metricon and it ended 74-54. GCFC has played 4 home games and here are the results:

lost to Adelaide by 69
lost to Essendon by 17
lost to Fremantle by 7
lost to Port Adelaide by 48

Here are the St. Kilda road games:

lost at Port Adelaide by 4
beat Western Bulldogs by 63
won at Melbourne by 18
lost at West Coast by 30

The Suns are led by Gary Ablett who used to be with Geelong. St. Kilda is just 5-5 and are off a close loss to Richmond. They could be motivated from the loss and smash the underdog as they did earlier in the year. I hope to see Gold Coast keep it close and stay within +45.5. This line could easily go up as last week's line with GWS did. GL!

Dr T what's your opinion on taking the field to win the Wooden Spoon +124 vs GWS who is -145. I imagine you love it considering you took Collingwood by themselves to win before tourney at +145. Seems like great value.

Collingwood was 9/2 or +450.

The Wooden Spoon goes to the last place team, which means GWS, Gold Coast or Melbourne will win that. GWS beat Gold Coast earlier and they play again later in the season. The odds would slightly favor the Field since GWS has one win and GC has 0. GC did end up with 3 wins last year. Personally, I will pass on it.

+450 that's what I meant. I got them the same...shows what I know. I just assumed Wooden Spoon was for first place :) thanks Dr :toast:

Gold Coast +45.5

Bad loss as St. Kilda won by close to 100 points.
