6-2, + 7 units Sunday. Monday looks okay for some small plays. All of these on the small side of one unit.

Seattle. ML. Vargas has pitched well vs. the Angels, including this year. Other than Trumbo, the Angels don't hit lefties very well, and Vargas likes a pitcher's ballpark like his home park. Also, Mariners have been consistently hitting, except for losing to Sale, which is no disgrace- the guy is shutting down every team. Many good hitting lefty hitters for Mariners which is why they usually do well vs. Santana. What is also notable is how many extra base hits these young Mariners are hitting. Seattle held their own vs. red hot White Sox, won 2 out of 3 in Texas, and this is a nice underdog spot for them.

KC/ Minnesota- over first 5. One unit. Don't know the total, but hoping for 5. Will bet it at 5.5 too. Both pitchers are up from the minors as desperation moves because they needed a body due to injuries. neither DeVries or Smith pitched well in AAA, and I expect at least one will blow up early in this game. Both teams have poor middle relief. KC and Minnesota are both hitting well enough to put up some runs.

Oakland/ Texas- under 7.5.One unit. How bad is Oakland's hitting. Mazzaro of KC, who has no business being in the majors, shut them out for 6 innings. The A's literally have bench players batting 5-6-7 in their lineup, and not good bench players. Their 1-2 hitters are also a joke. They can't get on base! Scott Feldman will have his best pitching line of the year (or career), like Mazzaro, and the Texas bullpen is very good too. Meanwhile Texas might sleepwalk through the first game of this series coming off the important Angel series. They aren't on fire anymore, and Jarrod Parker is a possible future ace. His fastball is in the 95-96 range, and his breaking pitches are solid. He has pitched very well against some good hitting AL teams, including on the road.

Arizona TT. One unit. Christian Friedrich, the young Rockies lefty is going into a hitter's ballpark against a team that hits lefties very well. He has also been hit hard in his last 3 starts after 2 good starts vs. cream puffs SD and SF. Hoping for 5.

Cubs. One unit +1/2 first 5 innings. Samardjzia (sp.) has 7 quality starts in a row, with only 11 runs in 47 innings, with 49 Ks and 13 walks. Love the strikeout/ walk ratio. Vogelsong has been just as good, but for some reason the Cubs have hit him hard over the years. And the Cubs lineup is that much better than the Giants, especially against right-handers. This game has potential as an under if not for the porous Cub bullpen.

Cubs game a winner, 1-0. Of tonight's other games, I like the KC/ Minn. over 5 the best.

Note on the KC-Twin game: Smith and DeVries have about 28 innings combined so far this year in the majors, and have given up 10 HRs! My only regret is not increasing this to a 2 unit play.

Thanks man. Looking like a 3-2 night. The A's scoring 10 is a shocker.
