I would like to get the opinion of some of our experts on CR sports books. Is this just another nuisance to deal with or is this going to greatly affect sports books located here?

"According to the bill, gambling call centers are taxed based on the number of employees"

To me this just means there will be a bigger push to get customers off the phone and on to the internet, with the minimal amount of employees running the office or maybe we will see more people working remotely in the near future.

like NES said - many books are already pushing customers to go interent only - so now this will be accelerated and working remotely by VPN is a wish many have I am guessing.

My guess after a few days all those guys who dreamed of working from home will realize they cant get anything done with the wife and kids around and end up chipping in and getting an office together.

If by charging 150k per year for over 50 employees that means that they are giving the books the right to use the banking system of CR i would think that big shops would not have a problem with paying it. but that also means is what we call "meterle el caballo" to the U.S. government

They're not. In fact paying the tax may result in your existing bank accounts being shut down.

I guess you have to delivery the tax anonymously in cash and keep the receipt.

Adam, I am sure they would be willing to pickup. I don't have to leave the office for anything. Even my bank manager used to come to me years ago.
