Richmond is 5-6 and needs a win to get to .500 at 6-6. The top eight make the playoffs. They just lost at home to an average Fremantle team by 12 points. The Richmond team has a history of playing down to the competiton. They are just 2-3 on the road but their losses have been to good teams like Collingwood by 19, Geelong by 10 and Essendon by 19. They did win at Port Adelade by 37 and won at St. Kilda by 8.

Greater Western Sydney should have Jon Patton back from an injury to help provide some scoring. GWS are off a bye and should be prepared, well rested and they are at home.

At home, they lost by 67, 81, 42 and 66. They did win against last year's expansion team (Gold Coast) by 27.

I won't be shocked by a Richmond blowout but my prediction is GWS stays within 40 to 50 points and covers the +59.5.

Richmond only won by 12 (86-74) as GWS was able to stay within the large number which went down to +51 before game time. The game was played in the rain which made it messy and low scoring and surely helped the home team easily cover. Jon "General" Patton played well for GWS. The official attendance was listed at 7358 but looked much smaller than that.
