saw scrolling on the bottom line that people who were arrested for the fights between russian/polish fans before/after the soccer game have already had their trials and some have been sentenced to prison terms for their fights with the police trying to keep order. the game was like 2-3 days ago, they already brought charges, had a trial, and given out a sentence. That seems crazy to me, but it probably saves a ton of $$$$.

The difference is, because there has been so much trouble at these tournaments previously, part of the pre-planning includes 24 hour magistrates and an expedited system in which all the main players (defense - prosecution -state) are on constant standby and basically 'express' the cases.

Don't know how long it would normally take but the courts system is included in the general planning for the tounament.

Part of the idea behind this is that the other fans can see how stiff the sentences are and will therefore think twice.
