Well; I do think Tiger's game is different from 10 years ago; he does not depend on the booming drives; knows how to play irons and 3 wood off tee; keep it in short grass..>>he still has that tremendous short game; and creativity; will come into play..>>my concern day 2 is the later start; dry greens; might go to +2 to +3 today; still in good shape for the weekend..>>

Tiger..still my choice to win..

Tiger has played the Olympic Club many, many times both as a professional and as an amateur when he was attending Stanford. He knows that the best way to play the course, particularly with the USGA set-up with the narrow greens, fairway rough and hard and fast greens is to not use the driver, only the 3 wood on a couple of the holes and irons the rest of the day off the tee. He uses his stinger and keeps out of trouble. He knows how hard and fast the greens are and spots his approach shots accordingly. Then on the green, he is more then capable of putting on fast greens. His round yesterday was perfectly played and he will continue that through Sunday. Whether or not he wins on Sunday of course matters, but he has the ideal approach to play the Olympic Club Lake Course.

BTW, the afternoon conditions will be beautiful today. Little to no wind. Mild temperatures. Just a great afternoon to play well. FWIW, I was born and raised in this area of San Francisco. Best of luck and enjoy!
