The Cubs have definitely been playing better as of late. Most of it due to good pitching. Today Samardjia takes the mound for the Cubs. He has shown signs of being a better than average pitcher but is often inconsistent. The Red Sox throw a plethora of good left handed hitters at Samardjia ( A lefty ). Jon Lester is on the mound today for The Red Sox. He is a lefty that is consistently average.
