I'm sure it's all revelant, what 1K to some is 100K to others.

I've had a whole slew of numbers over the last 6-8 months.

This was sparked by the nice parlay hit by Jags. 6K is a nice hit, no matter which way you look at it

Depends on what you define as life changing.

My liofe changing amount would be anything won in the Mega Millions lottery $40 million or more. That would keep me in Jack Daniels for a while.

$50k or more would be great/fun, etc. however, $2-3 million would be enough to consider retirement. Coupled w my fire department & Military pensions I'd live very comfortably. Less than $2 million I'd still work a few more years...

I think it would all depend on the definition of life changing.

$100 could be life changing if used properly.

somewhere around $600k-800k and I'd still work. 5-10mil and I'd probably live a completely different lifestyle.

That's a good question i think the key is where you are right now in your life for me it would be 2-3 million dollars at my age that may be enough to putme into retirement in about 5-6 more years:dancefool

I want a private jet
I want a water-front home and a Magellano-74 yacht

That would change my life.

A million tax free would do it for me. I'm thinking another 20 years of life ( at 48). 50k a year would be fine in say the Southern US, or even better in CR, Thailand, Vietnam, Bermuda, etc.

just a million works for me. That's a lottery type win, I don't need 100 M.

Life changing is really hard. $1k is not life changing....just nice....$5k will really help with bills and make me happy for a month. So I guess month changing. 100k is year changing.....$500k+ is life changing.....but $2M+ is good life changing

Interesting take from a Hawaiian dude.

I believe there are places one could live at, and make just a million last for several decades....that's all I'd want. I'm not talking mansions and private jet rich...but pretty comfortable in say CR or Asia, Hawaii would need another zero for 10 million.
