Tiger Woods still the betting favorite at the British Open

Despite a rather lackluster weekend at the U.S. Open, and his second worst finish ever at the event as a professional, Tiger Woods is still the betting favorite at the British Open.

According to bovada.lv, Tiger is 6-to-1, with Lee Westwood coming in at the second favorite at 11-to-1 and then Rory McIlroy at 12-to-1. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Tiger is atop since he's the biggest name in sports and the idea of a sports book is to make money, but still, not a great number for a guy that continues to be inconsistent in majors.

The rest of the lines are below, with U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson coming in at 40-to-1 to win back-to-back majors.

I think 2 to 1 odds is nutty.. 2 rounds left and he is 4 back.. he could drop a few holes today or end up in first.. but 4 back @ 2 to 1 odds is a nutty line. he must take over first today in vegas' mind

tiger is higher odds at 5dimes and some other lines seem interesting at moment.

I like the FIELD vs Adam Scott -350 (u get Tiger and the leader Snedkler and others for this price, although high.. but worth to win 100 imo)
