Anyone know any? I'd like to catch the As and Sox up there next week, game tickets are inexpensive, ride up there costs nothing... But hotels in the area aren't cheap, and while I don't mind springing for that kind of thing sometimes, it seems a waste hen I'll literally be just sleeping there.

Thanks - I can use Orbitz to find hotels and then priceline to make offers, but it takes a lot of time when you have no familiarity with the area. Am hoping someone else may have experience doing so.

Take a look on TripAdvisor dotcom. I don't really go by reviews but you can see pictures taken by other travelers to see what the place is really like.

Best move is stay by airport. Dirt cheap, hotels under $100 and take train to Safeco. I got a great deal on Hotwire out by airport. I walked to the train. Last Summer I went to Safeco and went to see Seahawks exhibition game at the football stadium next door. They are literally that close to each other. I loved both stadiums. Seattle is a great city and well worth visiting.
