Should you tip at Sonic

Just went for the 1st time in years.
Dont know the standard at SONIC.

Looked on the board thing and did not see any signs on if you should or should not.

I dont know if the people that bring the food get paid or normal wage or not.

I went ahead and gave a few bucks just in case.
The girl seemed kind of surprised when I gave it to her.
Almost like she was not expecting that.

So maybe thats not the norm.

There is a sonic a few blocks from where I park my van sometimes.

I enjoy the 2-4 happy hour half price drinks.

A cherry limeaid with a blast of whiskey is a good mid day pick er upper.

...and vanilla doctor pepper. It's those ice pellets that really make the drink at Sonic, you cant get those little buggers down here.

I'm not sure what Sonic really is, although they apparently exist in ct.

Is this like Arnold's from Happy Days ?

Do you like walk in and order and pay, then some waitress chick brings you the food to your car on roller skates ? If it is like that scenario, then I think a tip would be cool, but not 18%....good spot for a $2 bill perhaps on a $20-25 order ?

I love to tip with $2 bills, will leave one on a $5-7 breakfast.

I wouldn't know how to tip at a Sonic unless I 8 at one.
