Shown below everyone's favorite light skinned latinos spent the early hours discussing their shared hatred of the "White Devil" over mocha coconut frappuccinos after waiting in line since 4am for something they didnt really want anyways.

But seriously, how dumb are these people? CR has some of the best coffee in the world and Starbucks buys a lot of it.

I drove by for kicks and couldn't even get near the place. This was rush hour time. A lineup of cars 100 deep just to the parking lot. The queue for coffee went out the door and down the road. One of the funniest things I have seen in my life (and I have seen in my lifetime.

any current pricing stats?

The same as US or cheaper?

Cup of starbucks vs. entire bag of coffee at Automercado?

Joke...I will pay the price for TGI FRIDAYS, HOOTERS, OUTBACK, etc. Not for coffee when I am sitting on the best. Plus, I drink mine black.

Sure it is,more oriented to a social symptom, even if you try to brag about being there at 4 am in the morning and get the first coffe served, you will still be one of the biggets losser ever!

Is that a rhetorical question?

This is like a sale on blue Levis in Russia in the 80s.

The last time I saw anything this pathetically funny here was the 'black friday' thanksgiving 'sale' (I use that word losely as here it means like 10% off an already outdated and 50% marked up piece of clothing), that created a traffic standstill on the highway till literally midnight as the mall stayed open late to accommodate all the non-shoppers (nobody buys anything at the mall in costa rica, they just like to walk around and then split a pepsi and a 5 piece mcnuggets in the food court)

They are clearly very proud to be there. You can bet they are not throwing the cup out. I have seen them walk around multiplaza with it a a status symbol.

You would think that the pope is visiting Avenida Escazu. You can not get in the area. They are coming by the leased truckload. Driver drops off the group in front then waits in a 50 car deep line for parking a half mile away. You cant even make this up. Imagine waiting in a 2 hour line with douchebags for a pumpkin spice latte?

The funny thing is in this complex there are a few new American hotels that surely have American business travellers who are like 'oh great a starbucks, let me quickly grab a cup a coffee before heading out for the day', only to be confronte by a 2 hr wait. I'm afraid to go inside but imagine the chaos after you place your order and are waiting for it? Ticos arent known for their organizational abilities or the ability to work under pressure or stress. I would guarantee its a nightmare in there.

This thread made me laugh out loud. I always try to check in on the new happenings when I make it down and this is one to witness in a few weeks.

I've never understood the loyalty of Starbucks customers. Their regular blends are average, at best. Sure, the 600 calorie frappuccinos and caramel machiato's are tasty, but what 600 calorie bomb isn't good? They were just the first ones to really take coffee to that level and mass market. Kudos to them, but man I can get better latte's at Panera or the boutique coffee shops in S. Florida.

Many Dolphins and Heat players wives frequent the Starbucks in the plaza I frequent daily. I see these unreal women start their day with the 20 oz frappucinos and wonder how they keep their bodies in tact.
