Watching Indy car race tonight. Have never seen a pole sitter blow up on pace laps

Other than the Indy 500, I have a difficult time watching these cars anymore.

After the series split years ago, I pretty much lost interest as many did.

I love super late models on a good dirt track...now that's some good racing.

Only other time I can think of was when R. Guerrero was on the pole for the Indy 500 and something broke in the steering on pace laps and he wrecked. Day done and over with before the start.

But, yeah weird for him to blow up as these engines are just about bulletproof. I don't see how they stay together honestly.

BINGO. and, that's a true wheelman. Most of these guys in Indy and Nascar can't drive one to save their life. Dirt track racing is my love and passion. I race now, but unfortunately, I can't afford to compete at the Super Late Model Level. Maybe by the time I retire, or if I hit the lottery. But, I do race go karts on dirt now, and a few races a year in a 4 cyl. Modified. Love it.

After all, dirt is for racing. Asphault is for getting there. :)

Love dirt track racing now if only we could get road course and race at Eldora in chase

Darn it! Wish I would have known that sooner. Thanks MattyMatt for the heads up, at least I still can catch part of it.

With all this talk of dirt track racing, how bout fellow MidWest SLM dirt track racer Clint Boyer taking the Win, with Tony Stewart taking 2nd. Those 2 give back to dirt track and grassroots racing more than any other drivers with Clint owning several dirt track teams and still competing occassionally and Tony doing the same along with owning Eldora. Great to see! Hope everyone enjoyed it, and I DO think a road course should be in the Chase.

Jimmy Owens #20 won the Show Me 100. Jimmy's a good driver and once he got that Bloomquist chassic and some good motors a couple years back has been hell on wheels. He won the Lucus Oil Championship last year.

My man Billy Moyer #21 from Batesville, Arkansas came in 5th.

Over the years, I've been to about all the major dirt tracks in the Southeast. Never been to Eldora though for the World or Dream race.

Eldora on bucket list of tracks. Hoping to attend prelude next year. Weare going to F1 race in Texas later this year. As something I've never been to.
