There is a cluster forming at the Top of the National League Central. Currently, the Reds are at the top, but Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and St. Louis is breathing down the Reds neck.

Look for the Reds to win again today and try to put some space between them and the other contenders.

Take the Reds

Always tough for me to put $ on Leake and Bailey when it comes to the Reds.

Twinkies here or no play. Diamond is a solid starter, and is only getting better with each start.

His last 2 starts have been the worst he has done all season. So wouldn't seay he is getting better with each start

Definitely not an easy win for the Reds Ttatter. The Twins have been playing very good baseball recently and the organization as a whole is one of my favorite. However, the main play is coming from the intangibles in this game. It is a rubber match game at the Reds home field. If they plan on contending they will need to win series against mediocre teams like the Twins at home.

Your assessment on Leak is also correct. However, I do believe the Reds are currently swinging the sticks at a strong pace. I stand by my pick, but with reflection and different input received since my issue of this pick, taking the Over might have been the best angle on this game. Let the chips fall where they may.

Reds or no play for me here also. Not a fan of either pitcher here. maybe a small play on the over. If you look deeper into the diamond you see the only thing he does well is not walk people. in 24 june innings he has giving up 27 hits and only struck out 9. 62hits in 56inn with only 30ks simply does not suggest a 2.57 ERA. Not many pitchers last long in the MLB giving up high amounts of hits and low strike out numbers.
