What major sport do sharps like to bet the most?

I'd have to think its baseball. I don't really follow baseball much but with all the data, math and simulations you could do on a baseball game based I would think that is the best sport for sharps to beat. Then there is the fact it is daily and you can find 10 cent lines pretty easily.

in 2012? Likely someone pretty quant heavy that is consistently making $ betting the games and possibly does it for a living?

early in any season/sport.

lines get better and better as the year/season goes

playoffs and bowl games are the WORST time to attempt to make $ betting

Yeah college hoops for sure.

I just think baseball can be broken down with stats so much these days that I'd imagine they could find tons of value.

Or this is the best time to make money if you analyze data better than the competition and aren't as good at predicted results based on changes teams have made before the season starts. Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses and there is more than 1 way to skin a cat.

I'd definitely like to see more hardcore capping on this site, seems like its lost its way a little bit with that because of all the offshore issues..

Even if its a sport I don't necessarily care about, although maybe people wanna keep their methods to themselves if it is actually making $.

Not always true about playoffs boat. There is so much public money coming in on these games that you can get the line you want a lot of times.

CFB #1 I think .. ( thats college , not Canadien ...)

Most of the sharps wont even touch interleague in bases

I would think that most sharps are involved with the NFL. But I can see where they'd be attracted to college baskets and football.
