Betting the Cubs takes a heavy nutsack, they simply find ways to lose. But today might be a rare win for them, let me explain.

Mets are coming off an emotional series vs their crosstown rivals and last nights game was the late game so travel and quick turnaround for them.

Santana is night and day home and on the road.

ERA is
6.37 on road
1.16 @ home

0.92 WHIP @ home
1.48 WHIP on road.

Opp bat .242 against him @ home
opp bat .338 against him on road

get the drift?

Travis Wood the pitcher for the Cubs has been a model of consistency lately. He's given up more than 3 runs only once in his last 8 starts.

His ERA has dropped almost 2 points since 5/28.

Mets have a lot of Lefties in their arsenal and lefties only hit .174 vs Wood.

Cubs are @ home +125, -145 RL you can mix it and pay very little juice overall. you might want to put a little on the FF in case Cubs BP shits the bed. GL everyone.

The total is only 6.5. Must be a strong wind blowing in. I also like the Cubs first 5 innings, but am a little worried about their lack of success vs. lefties. Both of these teams have dreadful bullpens, so unless it's a wind of +20, I might consider the over too.
