Good day gents and welcome back to a new season of CFL football.

I SOB post this and I thought hmmm i like that bet

Hammy PK X BC -.5 3* to win 2.5*

Sask looks like they shored up their Oline to protect DD better, so I think they will be a bit better than expected this year. Hamilton made some bold moves signing Burris and Fantuz and should have an electric offence. Burris did look good in preseason and thats one thing you want on your side is Hank playing with a chip on shoulder.

Hamilton line backing core is the best in league and they have a 4th guy rotating in who starts on most teams. This should be enough for the highly touted tabbies to get a Win in their home opener and perhaps even cover. Hamilton Wins 31-20ish

I don't like the BC line, although it is similar to the line and in the GC and the Bombers have lost some key defensive personnel from last year. A healthy Buck Pierce is always dangerous and the bombers will be ready to up set the champs.

Don't see it happening thou as BC wins 24-20, perhaps with Winnipeg back dooring that 7.5

I maybe back with a Bombers play after the first game if the Cats pull off the Win.

I have an opinion on the Argos game and I have Play for the Calgary/Montreal game which will be the biggest of the weekend.

But out of time for now.

GO Lions!

Agree with Hamilton tonight (played them at -5 1/2 earlier in the week) as they should be very explosive this year (with not a bad defense as well). Good luck with your plays.

Fair Warning

VS

Thanks for stopping by! too bad the tabbies forgot the season started.

0-1 -3*

Saturday:

This game features two teams with new QB who need to get use to their offences. The Argos are missing three of their receivers from todays line up which should make matters worse for ricky ray, who admitted he is still trying to find his way in the new offense. The Argos defense should be pretty good as ex-CGY Dco-ord brings hs pressure style man to man defence to the double blue.

Edmonton was second in Points against last year at 22.4 per game, and the under was 7-2 when playing at home. With Stephen Jyles at QB the eskies mgt is drawing a lot heat and having Kerry Joesph to back up Jyles is not a much of a security blanket. This could end up being a game of FG's and 3 and outs.

Under 48.5 2*

Gl guys back tomorrow with my favorite play of the week.

Jyles at quarterback is what kept me away from the Under in this game. He's perfectly capable of turning the ball over a few times and leaving Toronto with good field position (same would go for Kerry Joseph, should he play). Ricky Ray has been around long enough that I tend to think he'll be more settled in the offense come this evening than many are worrying about. If he gets good field position on a regular basis, I think the Argos can score a fair bit.

Still, I wouldn't play the Over in this one.

It's good to see you back, by the way.

Thanks Maddeaux - Good your self you were one of teh lone guys I saw picking the Eskies! ( I tailed that for a couple of units thanks)

Doug - glad you tailed along

YTD 1-1 -1*

Was that an awesome game yesterday - It was so compelling to see which receiver would get over thrown or which Argo would get a penalty next. How about the Feild goal kicking that is so exciting> Honestly the argos should have won the game but gotta give it to the eskimos defence they stepped up when needed. Jyles did not look good over threw Fred Stamps how many times, I think the eskimos could be in for a long season.

On to today - SUNDAY

Both teams are deep and talented and have many players returning which should lead to a better more polished game. Drew Tate is the real deal and made Hank expendable, we are not talking about some division two QB or someone from a mid major college in the states. Tate started and starred at Iowa and set all kinds of records as a high school QB in Texas. If you saw the TSN season preview they did a little blurb on him and he said when he first got to teh stampedeers and evn up until last year he was confused as to what Dickenson and Burris were saying in their communication.

However this year getting all the attention for Co-ordinator Dickenson, has helped immensely and he is ready to go.

AC is another year old and although he is in good shape he is definitely on the downside of his career. Gone is his Offensive co-ord that helped boost his career with the short passing game over the past few seasons, he really does not have many pass plays over 25 yards. He is also a rhythum passer so teh start of the season may show a bit of rust.

However I thinks this will be a good game and probably the most competitve game of the weekend. Calgary really struggled at home last year they will want to get off to a good start ths year. I can see them bringing this game home.

CALGARY ML 5* to win 3.7*
