Saturday: 4-6, - 4.8 units

Rough day, but I was due. Totally missed a few, especially Miley's performance. Didn't see that coming. I'm off to watch the Mariners play Sunday against the Sox. Have good seats and plan to watch the game intently. Won't be around in the morning for team totals and plays that get posted during the day. Also, iffy for Monday's games. Might be good to go light for a couple of days. Have been playing too many games perhaps.

Short write-ups- sorry.

Pirates. ML. one unit. Big plus $ again. They are just hitting so well, have a solid bullpen. If Bedard can give them 5-6 IPs…. Westbrook is never really good, and the way the Bucs are hitting, can they sweep? Can the Pirates win 5 in a row?

Cubs. ML. 2 units. Still think the Astros in a hitting funk, and Travis Wood has been very good lately. Adds a good bat too. Wandy's stuff is regressing along with his velocity. Cubs going for 5 out of 6.

SF.-1. one unit. Giants won't get swept. Vogelsong is always solid or better. Arroyo lousy on the road and his season is losing steam. Reds are not hitting like they were a week or 2 ago.

Texas. RL. Texas is hitting lefties again, and Blackley is nothing special. Seems to pitch well against poor hitting teams only. Also, Oakland's offense seems to be faltering. Big game from YU. One unit.

Washington. ML. one unit. Gio has given up 3 HRs all year and 2 were in Coors Field. Great walk:K ratio. Braves for some weird reason have been losing quite a few of their Sunday day games.

Colorado; one unit -1. Pomeranz isn't probably ready, but he throws hard, with a decent change up, and is a competitor. Also, Kip Wells in Coors could get ugly fast. SD got their win Saturday. If Kip wins Sunday, the Rockies might as well move to Colorado Springs.
Colorado: over 12 for one unit. Riding this one more time.

NY Mets/ LAD: under for one unit. Kershaw should make a great effort to keep this game close. There is also no evidence that the Dodgers will ever score again. Gee is sharp enough and different enough from the previous 2 pitchers to hold the Dodgers under 2.

Phillies: over TT for one unit. Nolasco is the kind of pitcher who gets hit worse with familiarity. Rarely has a very good outing. Expect it'll be 4.5 or 5.
