.......and why do you live where you live now?

My father was born and raised in KC. He joined the Air Force and was stationed somewhere in Texas. He met and became good friends with my mothers cousin. My mother was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh. She traveled to Texas to visit my cousin. The rest is history.
Like I said, my mother is from the Pittsburgh area. My father served 3 tours in Vietnam. While he was away we would stay with my Grandfather near Pittsburgh. When he retired our roots were in Pittsburgh.
While stateside though, we would live with my father on whatever base he was stationed. My favorite by far was Keesler AFB in Biloxi Miss. Right there on the Gulf Coast. A kid couldn't ask for more.
RIP dad!

Both worked at the electric company at the time.

No reason for me to be living in CT now, ready to leave again.

Did you ever go to watch the series? If so, was it as fun as it appears?

oh yeah, as most kids in the 90s I was obsessed with baseball.

LLWS is a great time and best of all its FREE! well parking and admission to the park that is... there is so few hotels, thats its very expensive to stay there... and its a really shitty city, probably the worst city I've ever stepped foot in... high crime, nothing to do, run down....

I use to make special trips there for the LLWS but now ESPN does such an awesome job covering it, I enjoy it from home.... Oh, no beer sold at the park would be the only disappointing thing.. I know it's kids playing, but still, mid august heat, watching baseball, just feels like you need a cold beer in hand

They both grew up in the same village, went to the same school, very rural part of Germany.

Got out of there immediately after graduating (nowadays I enjoy the landscape every time I get back home to visit, but it's kind of in the middle of nowhere and not many job opportunities...). Moved to Munich because of a job and lived there for 9.5yrs before quitting that job. After that 6 months in CR, another 6 months in Brazil, went back to visit some friends and family in Germany earlier this year and now back in Brazil...unless I'm forced to leave because of my visa status, will stay here for good. Great place. So reason why I moved? Wanted to get out of Germany, like the attitude and way of life down here, great weather, fun city and ... because of a woman.

My parents grew up in the same small town and went to the same high school. Got married in 1982 and divorced around 1988.

I moved to Fort Worth (about 3.5 hours away from where I grew up) to go to school. Met my wife there and lived there for 10 years. Now out in East Texas because my wife is a news anchor here. She was offered a gig at NBC5 in DFW pending a few things. Her contract here is up at the end of July. NBC here offered her a pretty sweet gig so we are in the process of figuring it out. Either will be back in Fort Worth in less than a month or will be out here in East Texas for the next 2 years.

We thought about it. However, we both came to the agreement that it would be better for her to stay here and get more experience, as she has only been on camera for 11 months now. Can't believe that NBC5 in Fort Worth called her, without her even applying. Usually you have to start out at a small market, then move up a few years later to a mid market, and then if you are good enough then you go for the big market. She interned during college at NBC5 in Fort Worth so she has some contacts there. They had an opening and they gave her a call. If she gets that job in DFW then I am going to be mad at all the money we just payed for new headshots last week.
