I am 28 and been to Vegas numerous times, I have stayed at Bellagio, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Caesars and Bills. Flamingo is offering 4 nights COMP Nov. 15-19 in a FAB Luxury room, anyone know anything about them?

I know they were recently renovated, but I didn't know if anyone had any thoughts on Flamingo or the room.

Now, I won't be in the room much obviously, but just thought I would at least check.

Thanks!

I won't stay at a shithole when I go but I have stayed at some of the nicer rooms and while it's cool, as you said by the time I make it back to the room I'm so drunk and/or tired I could sleep in the tub.

Stayed at the Flamingo once, it was pretty cheap and the rooms pretty nice for what I paid for them. Usually rooms are discounted everywhere so I choose somewhere else but I think you'll be happy there.

Just read and you said COMP? Absolutely I would stay there for free

Thanks fellas. Normally we stay at Bellagio or Caesars, but this trip we are saying fuck it, lets stay for free somewhere. I sure as hell wasn't staying at Harrahs or IP or the other Harrahs properties. Only even considering Flamingo because of the renovations to the rooms.

Not much of sports book, can't remember eating in any of the restaurants, the pool is good. Tends to get a younger crowd because of the cost and the point on the strip. Which is good keeps it fun!

Stayed there in April. But had never been before the renovations, so I am not sure how much they upgraded. It is no where near as nice as the hotels you are use to staying at (Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, Caesars) but it is not bad at all. Great location, great price, if your room isnt comped. Rooms werent dirty, they had a TV inside the mirror of the bathroom, which I thought was cool. There was Mirrors on the ceiling above the bed, great for sex. Pool was nice, there is a good pizza place in there with a wood fire oven. I didnt gamble too much inside there but look like the had nice casino floor. Sports book was rather small though

absolute best location, all the gambling sucks [whole strip for that matter], if those rooms are on the top floor they have floor to ceiling windows and the ones on the south end have a spectacular view of the bellagio fountains. If BAS says its nice they should be great. As part of Harrah's [now called Ceasar's], they cater to slot players.

Nice location to say the least. Like you said you aren't going to be in the rooms much but to shower, sleep and bang hookers. It's free so enjoy.

A good friend of mine has stayed at both the Wynn and the Venetian. He's by no means a high roller and they comped him free Suites all the time. Now those two places are as nice as it gets here in Las Vegas. You might just stroll over to those two and do a little gambling there while you're in town. Of course always get a players card ! Don't be surprised if you get a letter in your mailbox shortly thereafter with some great offers. The Wynn Sportsbooks offers great futures and Props on most every Sport also.

If you go to the Flamingo, you can ask for an upgrade to a certain room whose name I can't remember. You could also try the $20 trick to make sure you get the best upgrade.

Make SURE you get the renovated rooms. I was there about a year ago and they tried to put me in one of the old ones, it was literally the worst room I"ve ever been to in my entire life - stains on the carpet, smoking had turned everything yellow, looked like someone died in there!! I went back downstairs and raised some hell till they put me in one of the updated rooms. The new ones are really nice, have an ikea modern feel to them, very clean and sparse. Shower is nice all glassed in kind with room for 2.

All the rooms are now updated.

The Fab and Fab Luxury rooms are now the "basic" rooms. But they have been updated with laminate flooring. New beds. New furniture. New TVs. Bathrooms are not much different tho.
Only difference between the Fab and Fab Luxury is that the Luxury are strip view rooms.

The Go rooms are the next upgrade up. They are nice. But I wouldnt pay the extra $50 or whatever it is to upgrade.

The Fab rooms are plenty nice for a COMP. They are always offered as COMP to me on my rate calendar on the harrahs.com total rewards site.

Nice room and great location. I expect you will be happy with the room.

Thanks again for all the responses. We basically had COMP for all the crappier Harrahs properties and reduced rates for PH and Caesars. We spend probably 90% of our time in Bellagio at the sportsbook and blackjack/crap tables so the location is the main reason we chose Flamingo.

Any fellow RXers be in Vegas Nov. 15-19? My Fins play Thursday night the 15th so you can find me in the Bellagio sportsbook Thurs night and all day Sat and Sun.
