A leftie seems to win this derby a lot. Trumbo is a rightie.

I think Fielder will have a good showing.

I started this thread almost a week ago back when this was not on anyones mind.
Figured now would be a good time to bring it back up.

The numbers I posted are stale.
I really love the play now.

I think Trumbo is the play for this contest.
Good luck

I think Cano's father throwing him the ball gives him a nice advantage. Unless he doesn't care...I don't see how he wouldn't get back to the finals again. Prince, Trumbo, Mccuthcen all homered yesterday. I'm wondering if there has been any correlation with that the next day? I may have to go dig for this

in 2011, no contestant homered the game before. In 2010, two of the three finalists hit a home run in their last game, including David Ortiz who won it. and Hanley who made it to the finals in 2010 went 2 for 4 with a double his game before. I need more of a sample size but it makes sense the batters who are "feeling it", will produce.

I agree, and that's why I'm leaning more and more toward taking Prince to at least make the finals. The only thing about him is he's so "max effort", and with his weight he might get tired. Cano's easy swing gives him a big advantage in that regard.

6 of the last 7 Home Run Derby winners have been left-handed batters, including the last 4 champions

I used $25 of my Betpoints to wager on this, I'm hoping that makes it at least watchable since the HR derby is a boring piece of shit otherwise.

M. Kemp - Longest HR 1st round
R. Cano - Derby winner
