My BB are 2-0 since resuming posting after interleague!
Chic and Atl goes off at 710 eastern time.
If you had to ask who was the hotter team of late between these two you might be surprised to learn its the cubs. The cubs have been hitting better lately and are playing loose and free.
In their last 5 games vs left handed pitching the Braves have hit a miserable .212. It wont get any easier today when they face Paul Mahlom who is going about his season the way he normally does 4.5 era and lots of innings.
The problem for the Braves is they have very little success against Mahlom in 47 innings he has allowed 7 runs vs the Braves 15 BB and had 32 strike outs. He always seems to give 6-7 innings. His won loss record is not great vs Atl but he got very little run support when he was Bucc.
Facing a BP scrub with an era north of 5 in his last 3 starts and a 5-10 team W-L record I think the cubs can put up some runs against Delgado.
If the Cubbies can avoid a big inning melt down like yesterday - I think they win this in convincing fashion. The price tag is too good to avoid with the hotter team going with the better pitcher.
