Two drivers who have been strong at the past 10 restrictor plate races are Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick. Bowyer's average finish is 10.2 with two wins and Harvick is second with a 12.9 average and two wins.

Clint Bowyer
Daytona: 5 races, 0 wins, 1 top 10
Talladega: 5 races, 2 wins, 5 top 10s

Kevin Harvick
Daytona: 5 races, 1 win, 4 top 10s
Talledaga: 5 races, 1 win, 3 top 10s

Two guys worth keeping an eye on for this weekend's race. :103631605

Sitting here watching NASCAR practice and several cars are running in the 197 mph range.

Jamie McMurray and Michael Waldrep seem to be the fastest of the group.

Kind of a surprise but Kurt Busch is also running up with the fastest.

James Finch's cars have always been fast on plate tracks and Kurt is very good on those tracks as well, so if can keep his head straight and nose clean he could very well be in the lead pack at the end tomorrow night

It does have a Hendrick powerplant under the hood and a chassis from the same to lay it down. He needs some help from all directions, but he could be there in the end no doubbt.

Cars are housed out of my hometown. Would love to see a one car team run well, and Kurt definitely has what it takes to get the job done at Daytona.

MattyMatt I take it you're a Spartanburg native, nice town. Will be going thru there in a couple of weeks on my way to Gatlinburg.
Do you ever go to Cherokee Speeway? Haven't been in a while but it use to be a fun place to go.

Maxx, I live in Greenville now. Like it here. Cherokee speedway is an amazing dirt track. I go every know and then. I've raced there a few times as well. Jeremy Clements car and engines are built across the street from Phoenix as well. He had a pretty decent showing last night also.

I'm hoping Jeremy can hold on and link up with somebody and move up. I know in the past he was doing some testing for JGR. Loved watching him drive dirt late model. I remember a race at Fayetteville where he and Jeff Smith put on a heck of a show.

BTW, what class did you run in?

Been running go-karts at Cherokee the past 2 years. Fun and fast track. Stock 4 a few years agoa a few times. Love the little 4 bangers. Of course, I'm a huge fan of SLMs, but my budget will never let me get close to one of those. lol If only I can win the lottery...
