Finished strong last week after a starting off with a teaser that was SU loser

2-1 +2.7*

Friday night brings us two games again and I am heading down to the lions game.

Montreal -6.5 off a weak performance in Calgary, I did not see the second half but much Like I thought the Montreal juggernaut would be off balance in Week one. I expect them to be better this week. The Blue bombers offence picked up right were it left off last year not scoring points now insert alex brink and the BB could be in trouble.

Thoughts?

BC -7 Lions opened -6 but have moved up a full point so far. They looked dominating in the opening week with on the defensive special teams looking weak. Hamilton got trounced at home by Sask they were getting run on passed on and thoroughly out played.

Two big favs to open the week what do you guys know?

Be back with plays later

The last I heard Buck Pierce was expected to start Friday. Has that changed? I'd say Brink played fairly well last week, but I still like the Under in the Winnipeg/Montreal game.

PIerce has practiced all week and has shown good mobility so he will be starting tomorrow night but might not make it to the second half if the o-line doesn't protect any better than it did last week. Since arriving in Winnipeg two years ago, Pierce has failed to start 15 times and the Bombers are 3-12 in those games. Bombers are getting an o-lineman back from injury as well as a couple others for this game. Think it will be another tight game between these two teams but good luck with your play nonetheless.

Thanks for the info on Buck Pierce guys - the line came out pretty quick on Monday so I assumed it was Brink starting. Given that the Books dd not wait on the Line I think that favours Montreal. if I play that game it will be small.

Again thanks for the input - gl this week

Awful defensive display by the Bombers as they score 30 points and still don't cover. Hope you played the Als.

Weird game last night in BC. Tons of big plays but the game it self was not very exciting and and the in the 4th Q it started to get close only for the lions to get the ball with 2 minutes left and snuff out the Cats with a running play drive. A 95 and 67 Return for TD and 14 pts in 17 seconds blew up the under I had teased but even worse was the number of key defensive injuries BC had in the game allowed Hamilton to move the ball with ease in 2nd half. If Sask plays well again tmr, I dont like are chances next week there. It will be billed as 2 2-0 teams but BC losses were signifcant & their OLIne which is patch work played great no sacks and over 200 yards OTG but that is at home lets see what happens when to they travel to Regina.

ON to today.

Calgary looked very good vs Montreal last week and Drew Tate is going to be star in this league, but wonder how much of a leader he is? I have seen him in several interviews now and he seems a bit odd. Several times in the first half last week I saw him yelling at receivers on the side line. Let's see how he pans out on the road against a hungry argo team who self destructed in Edmonton last week missing 2 FG's in the game that made the difference between winning and losing & they had something like 17 penalties.

Having seen the result of the Montreal game yesterday i wonder how good CGY really is or is MONT just not very good this year. They gave up 30 points at home to the blue bombers.

Ricky Ray and the Argo offense seemed to get better as the game went on and I hope his veteran leadership comes through today as the argos open at home against a club they have had good success against. I know different components but having the ex-d co-ord may help things too

TOR O50.5 3*
TOR +3 +101 2*
TOR ML +138 1*

BOL P.. Good pick, Argos are a small system play for me but I don't like their secondary vs. Stamps receiving corps

Thought with the roof open last night they'd get a real good crowd but I see they only got 25k in the stands. Seems like it would have been a great night to watch some football but.....

East division is still winless vs the West (0-5) but I guess that has to end at some point so why not today? I'm passing on this game but loading up on the Riders tomorrow; good luck with your plays.

The stadium probably had less than 25,000 people I too thought t would be busier the Sunshine does not come through the open roof. There is a a story or two of windows near the roof that light can shine through giving the optical illisuion of sun on the stadium.

I think the roof being open works against the crowd factor and how noisy it can get.

Yes I totally agree with SASK tomorrow I loaded up on -4 5* play

Good start for the over in the TO Game.

I forgot to mention the streaker last night - Funny scenario because he ran out on the field and everyone ignored him he looped around back to the cheerleaders and stood in front of them about 50 feet away still everyone ignored the idiot. I hope he enjoyed his night in jail and was able to protect his jewels in jail.

People are still streaking? Guess that's one way to stay cool.....

Drew Tate just injured himself (looked fairly serious) so that means Kevin Glenn will lead the Stamps the rest of the way in this game. Don't like Calgay's long term prospects if Tate's out for most or all of the year.

I had whole write up posted and then I timed out and it do not save. Here is a summary

I should say 10* is a top bet

SASK home opener after last years disappointing season this isn't Vancouver or Toronto - these fans live and die for this team and winning is the only option.

SASK Doubled up points and yardage OTR compared to EDMON who were playing at home. I think Stephen Jyles is in for a long day.

EDMON beat SASK in all 3 games last year - Once at the start of year when they where catching everyone by surprise and twice at the end when SASK was so beat up they had lost the will.

We have seen 3 competitive games so far this week - Today I think we see a wood shed game

never mind...I reread your post #11 but # 15 has me scratching my head...it's probably because of my lack of knowledge re the CFL.... "ML total Sask bet".
