Had my whole write up erased. That is the 4th time that has happened- not sure if it's me or the RX. Will have to shorten my remarks.
Brutal Day Wednesday: 1-6, - 5.2 units

This is a trial year for me. So if you are just beginning to bet on my plays(god forbid you started yesterday), then know that this is just a hobby that goes along with my love for baseball. I have been slightly above .500 for most of the year, and then got hot in mid-June. Now I seem to be cooling off. It seems that the goal is to stay around .500 most of the season and then get hot for a week or two at times during the season to profit by this. But what the hell do I know?

Twins: First 5. ML. One unit. Better hitting team is the Twins. Porcello has a .300 BAA for the last 3 years. Many of the Twins have battered Porcello in his career. Diamond's 7-3 record with the stinker Twins shows what a gamer he is. Lots of poise and can pitch out of jams.

Milwaukee. ML. Also first 5 innings. One unit. Fiers has pitched unbelievably well and Buerhle is a poor road pitcher. Many of the Brewers hit him well: 6 HRs in 76 ABS career. Miami probably just wants to get out of town.

Sorry about the shortened write-ups.

Might want to do your write ups in a word doc first and then copy/paste over. That's super frustrating losing it like that.

GL today man.

Mets: ML. 2 units. I'm going to ride Dickey until I see that someone can hit him. Other than that one bad inning against the Yankees, he is on a historical run going back to May 22. Throw out all the Phillies BAA in this game since Dickey is like a new pitcher. Meanwhile the Mets have some very good BAA vs. Hamels. Only Tejada doesn't, and he is red hot right now. Dickey might go the distance so we won't have to count on the dreadful Mets bullpen. And the Phillies weren't hitting all that well until they beat up the Mets' bullpen yesterday. The Phils BP is better, but not very good. I also don't believe home field is much of an advantage in baseball, but tonight in New York you will see a very big crowd to see Dickey and I think that will psyche up the Mets.
Mets: ML. first 5 innings. one unit.

Pirates: TT. over 4.5. Two units. Like Dickey, I'm riding this incredible Pirate Hitting Machine. In their last 7 games they're hitting .337 with 16 HRs. Bud Norris is a decent pitcher, but is getting shelled on the road-7.55 ERA. In his last 22 innings, he's given up 23 runs and 7 HRs. This is the wrong team to get straightened out against. The Astros bullpen in recent weeks has also been falling apart. Since Norris is unlikely to go deep into the game, we'll be seeing one of their middle relievers.

Arizona: For the most part I've been wary of the D-Backs. Their road trip set them back and were embarrassed at home against the Padres. I think this series starting game will be big for them to reinvigorate their playoff aspirations. The Dodger are now also missing Dee Gordon, their shortstop and leadoff hitter. Mark Ellis is back but he is probably not much of a factor yet. The Dodgers found someone slumping worse than them-the Reds. Arizona's Miley had a terrible outing vs. Milwaukee, but that is rare for him. He has excellent command, keeps the ball down (only 2 HRs in 46 IPs at home this year) and is probably one of the best hitting pitchers in the NL. I also think his last loss, coupled with the D-Backs series loss to the Pads, a game vs. the hated Dodgers- will inspire a good effort by Miley and the team. Eovaldi has great stuff, but has very little command of late. He gets no run support and surprisingly only 3 Ks in his last 3 starts. This tells me he is pressing and has become much more hittable. The D-Backs just have a huge advantage in run potential in this game.
Arizona-1. One unit
Arizona -1/2 first 5 IPs. One unit

Padres: One unit. ML. Right now the Padres are playing impressive baseball. Winning series in Colorado and Arizona, and hitting very well. Two pitchers going against their former teams. Both have pitched well as of late, and Latos' last 2 outings were very good. But the Reds totally flopped in LA, and they can't seem to score any runs. This is a nice + number for a hot SD team.

Colorado: ML- first 5 innings. At about +165 this is a good deal. Rockies hitting better than Cards lately, with some power. Lynn usually gives up early runs, and seems like he is getting worn down this year. Freidrich has pitched well on the road and has very good stuff. High velocity, good slider. Maybe his Coors Field trauma is abated for now. Neither team has seen very much or anything of these 2 pitchers.
