MLB wants to sell you a ball cap with nothing on it for $35
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park, and to commemorate it, Major League Baseball is targeting an audience it must think was born yesterday. But maybe die-hard Red Sox fans can't live without this 1912 throwback cap with absolutely nothing on it for the low, low price of $34.99. Apparently, Sox management couldn't afford a logo in that era -- after all, they did have to sell Babe Ruth to the Yankees because the club was strapped for cash. If $35 is too rich for your blood, you can get a Padres throwback -- also blank -- for a mere $27.97. Caution, consumers: Don't send MLB a blank check to pay for it.
