For the third week in a row, my game of the week happens to feature the Edmonton Eskimos. The Bombers lost two defensive starters to injuries this past week and have shuffled their secondary around so that many are playing out of position. This will no doubt help a struggling Eskimo offense that lost one of their better receivers (Bowman) for the year and will be pulling out all the stops to impress the home crowd after their awful performance in Saskatchewan on Sunday. The Bombers offense really came to life against Montreal and figures to get better as the season goes along. Their kick return unit has been providing excellent field position and are a scoring threat as well. This is their third of four games on the road to begin the season and with a short week coming up before the next game (in Toronto), a sense of urgency has to be creeping in which should make this an interesting game to watch. The Esks are (-1) and the total on this game is (45), which is quite low for this league. I expect both offenses to make some big plays in what figures to be a tight game.

Play: over 45

Have y'all heard anything about who Edmonton plans to start at QB? Jyles still?

Don't know who the Esks will start at QB although it seems they want Jyles to be their guy so I'm guessing it'll be him. Sounds like they've got receiver problems as well with Bowman already out and now this:

WR Greg Carr (leg) did not practice and is doubtful for Friday's game against Winnipeg. WR Aaron Hargreaves and SB Matt Carter (leg) returned to the practice field after coming off the one-game injured list.

Already played the "over" (totals usually rise) but now considering buying back as the Esks will likely have to play without pricey free agent pick-up Carr as well.

Gl. M..
What r your unit amounts on your plays?

Each play for me is a nickle with the exception of one game (CFL) a week where I double up.

Bought back this week's play on the "over" (taking a slight loss) because of the Eskimos Fred Stamps likely being double covered due to injuries to receivers Bowman and Carr. As of this moment, the only other play I have on this week's games is the Ham/Tor "over". The line is now around 56 most places but by betting early I got a nice number (53). Usually, betting early on "overs" and late on "unders" saves a point or two, which can come in handy during the course of an entire season.

Guess I didn't need to buy this one back as the game went "over" anyways! Horrible game to watch as the Bombers much injured QB Pierce got knocked out of the game early and the back-up Brink got injured as well in the second half.

Hoping for lots of points later tonight between Ham/Tor; should be a fun game to watch.
