Are they really about to drop all these channels tonight? Supposed to be losing like 26 channels. Comedy central, spike, MTV, Bet, TV land, Nickelodeon and many more.

Everytime a contract comes up this shit happens. I am sure that Viacom is trying to get a lot more money for their channels. You can't just blame Directv for this.

I believe that you're mixing Direct TV up with DISH network. It's DISH that losing all those channels.

this is crazy they would lose over 25 channels

if i was a customer I would call them and demand a 50% rebate/reduction because those are the only channels I watch (of course not true :D)

They didn't shut anything off, viacom pulled the plug as a power play to extort a 30% increase in fee's, Good for direct tv, the only channels I watch anyway is a little spike and tv-land.

All the cable companys change or drop stations whenever they want its ridiculous. We have only 1 cable company here, but are not allowed competition. They keep raising rates every year.So i switched to Direct tv,They told me for 2 years it would be 124$ a month with Starz and hbo. after 6 months they dropped them. After 1 year they raised my rate to 143 a month, saying it was only locked in for 1 year! What a bunch of liars! There is a lawsuit against them,so i hope i can get my money back for all the deception.

You might be right Buster, but it has been DISH network asking all its subscribers to go to a website to "save" all these channels. Haven't seen one ad for DirecTV.

If they drop the price, they can keep those channels. MTV, VH1, VH1C all a bunch of reality tv bs and no need for the other channels. If I need to watch Spike, there's plenty of sites out there that stream it.

Tell VIACOM to suck it and lower our bills!
