These two just played a high scoring game at Tulsa as it ended with 193 points (107-86). The Lynx shot close to 70% from the field as they made 41-59 FG's. Both teams made 11 3-pointers. Even Tulsa shot 48% from the field at home. It was 51-46 at the half. Minnesota only used 8 players and now return home to face a team that is a big underdog. I expect Minnesota to jump ahead early and coast in this early start which can be seen on ESPN.
Tulsa has played 9 of the last 10 at home and have played unders in 17 of the last 22 away from home. The last two at Minnesota reached 136 and 140 back in 2011. I believe Liz Cambage played in those games and she is 6'8" and lumbers up the court. An earlier game between these two had a total of 152 and now it jumps up to 172, which is the highest Lynx total since the opener with Phoenix.
The Minnesota home games have made it to 166, 176, 146, 172, 134, 162, 155 and 176. The opener with the Mercury was a high scoring game too.
My guess is we see Minnesota jump ahead at the half and focus on defense for a win of 92-73 for 165 points and under. The early start combined with the big talent difference and the quick turnaround between (home and home) games should work in our favor. GL from Dr. T/RDS.
