I used to spend about $20 a day... Way back in the 90's
Between the Daily numbers, Win 4, lotto, Scratch Offs

But really slowed down in 1998/99, first stopped playing the Daily & Win4 on a Daily basics . Only play them around Birthday's, etc.

Lotto play maybe 2-3 times a year, and Scratch offs ... maybe once a month ($20)
Powerball when it gets up past $100 mil, same with Mega

of course there's no Skill what's so ever...... Pure 100% Luck

I dont play often, but when I do I always pick my same set of 6 numbers. Well actually I have 2 sets of 6 numbers.

But I really stopped playing about 10 years ago when I hit 5 out of 6 number and I only won 2,156 or so. I mean 6 numbers hit was like 22 million (which no one hit), but 5 of 6 only paid out $2156!!!!!

I guess that I might play 2 lotto tickets every couple of months using my same numbers. Actually this just reminded me that the last time that I played the lotto about 3 months ago that I bought tickets for the next 10 drawings. Time to check the results i guess

none these days, but when i was 18 or 19 one summer i worked at a grocery store in the customer service dept. when people came in and bought scratch offs and did them in front of us and lost on like 10-12 straight, me and the other worker would like rock paper scissor to see who got to buy the next 3-4 tickets from that game, figuring a $5+ hit was coming soon. sure enough within the next few tickets one of us would hit $20 or something

Really don't gamble much anymore including lottery. About 12-14 years ago I won the top prize on a $1 scratch off-$9,999. They took 33 percent before they even printed the check off.

Varies from week to week but highest amount won was $500 and $400 on a $5 and a $2 scratch card. I have really streaky luck with lottery. I might go a month and not hit a Pick 3 or Pick 4 and then hit 3 or 4 in a week and then cold again. $20 when playing the Mega and Powerball but all my numbers haven't come in yet.

usually i just buy scratch offs... latley 3-6 bucks a week max but havent hit anything. sometimes ill spend a little more and sometimes i wont buy any at all for a while. I've hit 500 on $20 tickets twice in the last few years times and hit 500 once on a $5 ticket 4 years ago.. also hit 100 a few times on $3 dollar tickets. seems like whenever i hit a big one i havent bought a ticket in a while... whenever i buy them once a week i never win.

Be nice if my state had a Lottery. I would probably spend $20 a week if we had a lottery here.

I spent $0 per week. I run a lottery pool at work, and part of the understanding is that my entry is paid for. :)

I spend about $20 dollars a day and have hit $500 a few times. I just won $40 scratching one tonight. Hopefully I can hit a 2nd chance drawing that the Calif. lotto offers.,

$600 a month? That's excessive.

I haven't played it in years and only would play powerball or state lotteries with million + prizes.

Nobody here should be playing daily number type of stuff, we should book that. It has to be a life-changing amount to even bother.

Powerball type of stuff is still -EV when at 300 Million + when you consider that you get like half of that when taking a lump sum, then the IRS takes close to another half, and you might have to split it with other winners.

I think it is over 100 million to one on hitting PB.

Back when I was in high school I worked at a gas station in a run down part of town.
When I worked there my state just got lottery for the 1st time. So it was a big deal back then.

The people who would buy the scratch off tickets were way below average in education.
You had people that I imagine made less then 1K a month spending 200 a month on scratch off tickets.

Well anyway I use to LMAO when these women would buy a scratch off tickets and then grab a penny and scratch them on the counter right after they buy them.

They would buy the tickets that if you got 3 like numbers you would win the prize.

These women would get a ticket and get two $5000's on there ticket and curse about how they came so close to winning $5000. They only missed it buy one number. LMFAO.

I remember he saying somewhere he had a received a very large inheritance or something...obviously going to gamble away every cent of it between now and when he kicks the bucket. You are right though...$600 a month on the lottery is beyond degenerate status. That is "I need help" status.
