New, but will be leasing in the future. Bought a new Tahoe a few years ago and about have it paid off a few years early. The hopes being that after I pay it off I can drive it for a few more years and then get rid of it.

The wife has an Acura RL that we are currently leasing. After I decide to get rid of my tahoe (it is only a few years old) then I am going to be leasing as well.

Always lease. On my 4th lease. New Car every 3 years. Cars depreciate as soon as you drive them out of the lot.

all of the above

buy my cars, drive them to they die

lease my wife's care, new one every 24 to 30 months

have bought used cars for the kids

if you want to lease, choose a car like a Maxima that retains it's value and thus leases very inexpensively. Do not lease American cars or any car that doesn't retain value. You're paying for the depreciation in value when you lease

conversely, if you want to buy used, American cars offer great value at two years old and about 25k mileage

Buying new or leasing is like throwing money down the drain.

Have bought many cars, trucks and equipment though banks on off-lease or repos.

I think the problem with leasing is you really need to use the exact mileage allotted. If you go under there is no refund, go over and they rape you on fees. I have never leased.

Sometimes you can get a great deal on something new and basic like a pickup truck for under 20k. You should own any new car for at least 100k miles and likely will have zero problems in that time. I like to buy stuff with 100k miles on it.

Have a 1997 Buick Century I bought new. Been paid off now for 9 years and has 148K miles on it. Still runs great and gets me where I want to go. Also have a 2001 Pontiac Montana bought new. Been paid off for 5 years and has 155K miles on it. Still in excellent condition and we use it for any trips we take. Recently purchased a 2011 Prius new that my wife mainly uses. I will always buy new cars and keep them maintained.
