the goal is to make a forum what they call sticky.
What I mean by that is not only visit the forum but hang around the forum for long periods of time.
Therx still has a lot of people who will log in for a few mins, click on a thread or 2 then leave for another 24 hours.
But its not very sticky.
A good mod can start threads that people will want to hang around for long periods of time to follow.
Thats why when you have a major drama thread like jag had a few weeks ago it lifts the entire forum. Not only the Jag thread, but all the other threads pick up to.
This is because all the posters who normally log in for just a few mins a day and leave hang around and stay longer periods of time.
When Jag had that thread I bet you those couple of nights the amount of new threads tripled for the simple fact that when people logged on they stayed on.
So yes a great mod or paid poster can indeed drive serious traffic to a forum.

I like to try to get things going by using multiple topics, some Good and I guess some not so good.
I've never been much for the Drama, but I do understand that some drama sells.
For the past 8 months or so, now that The RX is way more liberal. I think that there not much you Can't talk about.
We still rather have any political talk be done down in the Poli Forum. But we did allow a resent one to stand here in the Offshore forum.
Of course any out right Bashing should be done down in the RR, same goes for Porn.
We also prefer Sports Picks to be posted in our Sports Forums.
As a whole we will get better. A couple of up coming things I hope will be happening soon at The RX, with some New things and Updates.
I still think we have some of the Best Contests and we are planning more to come.
I know that we can't Please Everyone, and that the Haters will always Hate. But I feel we will try our best moving forward.
