Does anyone else smell a run coming?

The Phillies are currently 40-51 and have 71 games remaining (37 Home games and 34 Road Games). Any chance they can get to 60-60 with their current roster in tact and make a run and finish somewhere around 86-76? If so, will it be enough to earn a Wild Card? This team is 10 games below .500 at Home and I just don't see that continuing (if they keep their current roster in tact)

I don't see this team "fire selling" as their current team should be competitive for the next 2-3 years....money concerns up and down the roster....but just can't help but think that they could go on one hell of a run between now and the trade deadline and continue that run through August and September.

The Phillies have (9) games remaining against the Braves and (12) games remaining against the Nationals; plenty of opportunity to make up significant ground.

If Lee, Hamels and Halladay are left in place and Howard and Utley can pick up Pence, Ruiz, Rollins and Victorino....this team could go on one hell of a run.

I'm not so sure it's out of the realm of possibility for this team to play .700 ball after the All Star Break. We shall see.

Thoughts? Should we start "buying" this team in Spades?? Seems there might be some fire left in this Clubhouse chalk full of talented Vets.

They need to stay healthy. They obviously kept howard and utley out longer than they should have to make sure they were ready for a second half run. There a post all star break team. If they don't get something going by mid august it will be fire sale time.
